PBS announced that LATINO AMERICANS, a landmark three-part, six-hour documentary series narrated by actor Benjamin Bratt, will air nationally on PBS on three consecutive Tuesdays, premiering on September 17, September 24 and October 1. The series will also be broadcast nationally in Spanish on Vme, the Spanish-language channel on public television, over six consecutive Fridays beginning on September 20. ... Chance to dispose of e-waste the right way.
In order to create a cleaner environment for our community, the Montebello Chamber of Commerce, along with the City of Montebello, is hosting an electronic waste (e-waste) recycling collection event on Saturday and Sunday, September 28 and 29 in the parking lot of Taylor ranch Park, 737 North Montebello Boulevard, Montebello, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event is a free service to city residents and businesses to properly dispose of their obsolete computers and, at the same time, help reduce improper and illegal dumping in our city and landfills. More importantly, the event helps protect our planet from various toxicities reaching our soil and environment. ...
