Team 13 helps organize and manage activities around ideas introduced through E-News.

In order to do this, the team first chooses ideas published in E-News by team 3, 5, 8, 9 or the newsletter teacher.  The team makes a written summary of those ideas and shares them with people in the community after conferring with the newsletter teacher.  Sharing with people in the community is like doing a survey.  Team 13 asks people to choose priorities and, taking those priorities into consideration, decides for which activities to offer to help organize and manage.

As with other teams which deal with adults, team 13 uses chapters 5 and 15 as a guide and gets approval from the newsletter teacher.

Considerations for team 13 as it decides on which activities to summarize and then to support:

1. Is the activity nonpartisan?
2. Does the activity help the community with self-reliance, selflessness or a sustainable solution?
3. Is the activity feasible?
4. How much interest is there from people in the community in getting involved in the activity?
5. How much time would it take to help organize the activity?
6. How much time would it take to help manage the activity?
7. For the time spent in organizing and managing the activity, how big a positive result is expected?
8. Can the positive result be measured in numbers?
9. If the activity should be repeated once in a while, who will ensure that it take place after the first time?

When an activity is to be done, team 13 places an announcement in E-News.  When an activity has been done, the team does a brief report which appears in E-News and the Web site.  Also, team 13 shares the report with elected officials and community leaders, preferably by a presentation in person.

It is possible to divide team 13 into squads and to do more than one activity at the same time, as long as there not be a burden on any one squad.
